1. Marriage is something sacred. Vows are made to last forever, love is everlasting. You make a committment to each other.
2. Marriage is just a more complicated getup from a girlfriend-boyfriend relationship. Could be good if the bloke has money. If not then that's where the complicated part comes in.
A friend of mine is considering a divorce, between friends there those who believe in 1. And 2 (namely me lah). I just feel that if love fails, or the person doesn't have respect for you, then what's the point? Why struggle to make it work, when the other party doesn't bother?
Of course, if the other is willing, then it might be worth a shot saving the marriage. But honestly, in this day and age, what's the point? With pre-nups, cynicism, anything is allowed, what's sacred about anything anymore?
Unless you're lucky to find a rich man who is willing to marry you without a pre-nup. Then Jackpot! :)
Anyway, here's my favourite picture of my favourite boy.

Jialat, tummyache after my emergency ravioli. Doc Mark Bligh told me to take food before the meds, which I didn't believe, so last nite, I took med without food. I nearly died. Today forgot and did the same, and once I had the effect of wanting to throw up, immediately headed for kitchen to open my can of emergency ravioli. But dunno why now tummyache! Jialat!
