toxic people

I think I've had about enough. Of complainers and whiners. Just about a couple of months ago, this lady joined my company and to her horror of horrors, her boss is just a big C. And she has been complaining about her boss everyday since I've been in office with her.

Yesterday when we went for coffee, she'd said: "Enough, I can't be complaining about her all the time." and in like 30 seconds went back to complaining about her boss. I think shall not go out dinner with her cos it's just listening to her whine and bitch. I can only take that much of bitching. I can understand how it feels to have a cunt for a boss, but I cannot possibly be listening to you complain at every possible break I get. Funny thing is, she said that she knows there are other things in life that are priority and this is just a job. So why so much complains, Ms? Absolutely tiring. And when I share with her some of my complains (since we are in a bitching sessions when I'm out with her 1-1) she quickly sweeps it under and goes back to her problems. So I end up just listening to her bitch n whine for 2-3 hours.

Another toxic person to be around is a friend who seems to be able to find something to complain about at work, no matter which organization she goes to. Granted there are always difficulties at work, but she is always complaining about someone, that someone is taking advantage of her helpfulness or some lazy person at work and how unhelpful this person is, or how unfair her boss is...it eats them alive, and it's starting to eat me alive too.

Are we a generation of complainers? These people don't realize that they are complaining ALL THE TIME. It's fine to occasionally want to let off some steam, but every time we meet, it's you complaining about work, about your colleagues and pardon me, it's people I don't know so I just can't keep up with the names, places and incidences. And to be honest with the small RAM capacity that I have, I'm not sure that I do wanna remember.

Solution is: to avoid these people on a 1-1 situation. I've my own share of complains too, and yes I do bitch about it, but I'm also learning to stop and trying not to inflict my friends with my whinging. Get a life, move on, do something that makes you happy and stop complaining.

Irony of this all is that this blog is a complain about complainers ha ha ha
