Back in my previous life when I had a job, I would walk pass this furniture shop at the bottom of the building where I worked. This shop, presumably, was a showroom and sold office furniture. The furniture was mighty fancy - design and ergonomics all rolled into one. (Go check out the furniture layout under their "Projects" on their website.) And the use of such furniture would mean that you will have to have a certain amount of space within the office to house it all.
And everyday for the few years that I worked there, while walking pass, I would ask myself,"Who the hell buys these furniture?"
Well, HP does. At least HP Labs in Bristol does. It's one of those places that has a cube that's about 2x the size of what I had at CCH, (bearing in mind I am only an intern there and need only to go in like 1-2x a week). But I have a cube, with my name on the side board. The table is divided into two areas, one is specifically for the monitor, and there are some levers that I can use to adjust the height of where that should be. The chairs are those that not only allows you to adjust height, you can tilt it forward or back at the angle you want and armrests are also adjustable.
And oooo, the key to small drawers even has a built-in magnet, so that you can stick it on the partition boards which have metal parts on them - GENIUS!
And if that's not good enough, working at HP that is, is that they are the printer makers of the world. So, ie, I've been offered the opportunity to print out my dissertation there! Muahahahha! Eh that's a lot of savings, considering one piece of colored printing is 30p. A 100 page dissertation (estimate, not that I will actually write 100 pages), is £30, excluding binding!
Call me a cheapo...I like.

A btw, the stain on my very expensive dress came off - phew!
A second btw, found a food blog that's fantastic, no thanks to Ms. Woo who tried to make me crave more for my chai tao kway - yin yang one with no chili thank you. It's called ieatishootipost - brillant pictures, and makes me so wanna go home!
